Over the last couple weeks we came to a final decision on how the game will look in it's finished form. We settled on a Simple multi screen contained play area. Players will move from a centre screen to a left and right screen by the arrow keys. The controls for making decisions will be on a screen below the centre screen with Diegetic buttons.  In this environment, players will monitor trends and choose where to travel to create content. With changing trends and variable timing the player must keep track of whats trending and where it is to go to those locations and create content.

Key Features

Use the arrow keys to control where the camera is looking. centre, left. right. and down

Screens: Map, Planet view, Trends, Streamer View, Window, Console, Analytics view, Chat, and maybe ads

A trend system that declares what is and is not trending and on which planet

Content can be created at locations which will change your analytics based on whether what you posted is trending

A stream with a working chat which changes based on popularity of streamer

Buttons and UI will be part of the player environment. No HUD

Engagement System: Based on analytics and followers, the player will be given an engagement score. Based on this score power will be supplied to the ship and the player needs to choose where the power is sent.

Proof of concept development is the next focus. A final plan for what that will look like is not established so for now we are working on simple things like getting familiar with Godot and Blockbench and figuring out scheduling. Each team member will bring their POC idea to the next meeting so we can figure out what to move forward with.
